The Account Manager is responsible for cultivating and expanding relationships within the accounts of their assigned territory in order to achieve blood collection goals and ensure the blood center can meet the demands of hospitals and patients. The Account Manager manages assigned accounts/territories, through planning, developing, and promoting blood donor recruitment activities. This role is also responsible for educating donors, sponsors, and the community regarding donor recruitment and NYBC enterprise-wide activities to meet patient needs.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4+ years equivalent experience or any combination of the two with emphasis in one or more of the following areas: Sales, public relations, management, education, customer service, business development, or non-profit.
Related Experience
Minumum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in one or more of the following:
Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications
Blood banking experience
Two years of experience in sales, marketing, and/or customer service experience preferred
Required Licenses / Certification
Valid Driver's License
Vehicle Requirement
Must have own vehicle in reliable condition
Travel Requirement
Local travel 75+% of the time with infrequent domestic travel
